Acerca de DJ PHRANKO

Gabriel Franco was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1980. At the short age of 7 he began to experiment with various types of instruments until finally decided for the piano. It was the sounds of the piano that would later lead him to redirect his musical interests into the genres of House and Technorave which were established a strong presence in Colombia during the 90..s. After coming across artists such as 2 Unlimited, Technotronic, Sold Out, D.F.S, Black Box and of course Frankie Knuckles, Gabriel began to be drawn into the world of electronic sounds. Due to the enticement of the music, he decided to reposition his talents and become a Dj, mixing sounds that were appealing to the current trends. By taking this direction in 2002, Gabriel began to make of his turntables his best friends and with the help of an important talent such as Fabio Alzate, the process for the making of DJ Phran K.O. started. Being Dj and PRODUCER, in 2003, he created his own production firm for rave parties called ..Unique.., www.uniquemovement.com. By launching this project, he has had the opportunity to exhibit his musical sets next to the most recognized international and national Djs..s electronic arena. The following year, DJ Phran K.O. presented his first national live set at ..Estacion Ibiza.. of Vibra Bogota 104.9fm and then began to appear on stages of various cities throughout the country. The year 2005 was the most important of his career; it was then that he was exposed to the electronic scenery of the United States. His presentations at cities such as Detroit, Chicago, Miami and New York broaden his knowledge and experience of the industry. The new experiences uncovered his capacities in a new level and led him to incorporate new energy-filled and melodious sounds into his sets. It is then, that he begins to expand his musical proposal and extends it into genres such as Energy, Hardstyle, Melodic and Trance. In 2006, he created "Playtech Society" a community of Dj/Producers that represent a new generation of talents and an innovation in the proposes and styles that promisse to change the perceptions and the ideas in the universe of electronic music. This opportunity sparks a new phase of his career as PROMOTER of new talents and will break way for the birth of new sounds for the colombian audience that is constantly growing up.
